Dom Joly's The Hezbollah Hiking Club

Hezbollah isn't a name synonymous with any kind of easy going pastime let alone hiking. Well that's all changed thanks to TV comedian Dom Joly's 'The Hezbollah Hiking Club'.

Forget Mr Joly's shouting at giant mobile phones and you'll find an entertaining and well told story of Mr Joly's adventures in Lebanon.

First up a bit of history where we learn that dear Dom was actually born there. Second up we learn he has very good friends. Anyone willing to go hiking in Lebanon with one of the loudest men on tv has got to be a good friend, that or they're insane.

The story follows the intrepid comedian and his loyal friends as they hike their way across Lebanon. As they go they call in on such 'must see' attractions as the Hezbollah museum. The fact it's not too far from the Israeli border adds to the bizarre nature of the experience.

I'd also like to add, that the author's descriptions of the countryside and people they meet as they travel is pretty inspiring. So much so, a reader might even consider the trip themselves. Read, laugh and enjoy!
